City-Wide Teen Leadership Summit
At Boys & Girls Clubs of the Chattahoochee Valley we believe that teens are the next generation of leaders and have the power to make a difference – in their own lives, in our organization, and in their communities at-large. As our organization continues to enjoy a legacy of empowering youth to reach their full potential, we also see that our community needs young leaders now more than ever. To that end, we are gathering teens from across the city, both Club attendees and non-club attendees to discuss pressing teen issues, celebrate their accomplishments and advocate for the future. We believe this is just one way we can have the most positive impact on youth and teens in this ever-evolving community.
2024 CITY-WIDE TEEN LEADERSHIP SUMMIT
TWO DAY EXPERIENCE - BEGINNING THURSDAY JULY 18-19, 2024
What an AMAZING time to be a teen in Columbus! Here is a recap of the first annual Citywide Teen Leadership Summit 2-day experience:
Day 1 began with an empowering session by Dr. Charles Flowers & Johnathan Rivers and was followed by several Breakout Sessions. We also had Passport to Manhood & SMART Girls Supersessions along with a second set of Breakout Sessions. The Closing General Session featured Dr. Stuart Rayfield and Dr. Rebecca Reamy, MD.
Day 2 included several evening activities including a Sip-N-Paint, Gamer’s Lounge, Life Size Game room, 3-Point Shootout, 3-on-3 Tournament, Café, and Club BGCCV.
Overall, the event was everything our organization could have hoped for and more. Big thanks to all of the event partners:
