Dance Clubs Across BGCCV Peform in Tuskegee-Morehouse Parade

Members from four of our clubs participated in the Tuskegee Morehouse Classic Parade. The East, North, J. Barnett Woodruff, and THE Club units all had participants. Club members danced from the Phenix City to the downtown Columbus area to the country's latest tunes. The parade lead to recruitment for more youth in the Valley for BGCCV and even promoted a healthy lifestyle.
Club Members rose early Saturday morning for a performance across the Phenix City and Columbus area. All dance clubs from the North Club, East Club, J. Barnett Woodruff Club, and THE Club- Teen Center received their taste of the spotlight while dancing in the Tuskegee Morehouse Parade. Dance Team Coach of the East Club, Jazmyn Jones, describes the dance club as a constructive program for members to receive a healthy lifestyle and promote BGCCV in the community. "We are spend a hour a day practicing and dancing for events across the community. There are so many different ways to live a healthy lifestyle".
The Healthy Lifestyles program helps Club members develop daily fitness regimens, make positive uses of leisure time, reduces stress and make nutritious food choices. With seventy-five percent of our Club members exercising sixty minutes a day, BGCCV promotes a healthy lifestyle throughout childhood. Through the program like BGCCV's Healthy Lifestyle, ninety percent were educated and informed of the importance of healthy lifestyles.
